‘Outside In’ trailer
A look at street art through the lens of MOCA’s groundbreaking exhibition.
Filmmaker Alex Stapleton has just released the trailer for his latest movie project, Outside in.
In conjunction with the first historical Arts in the Street exhibition at the Museum of Contempory Arts in Los Angeles, the documentary charts the creative process, pitfalls with the law and poetic impermanence of street art.
The film features interviews with artist including Swoon, Futura, Revok and Space Invader (the last two of whom were arrested at the opening).
Says Futura: “Ninety-nine percent of everything that I’ve ever painted is gone, it absolutely doesn’t exist. And if it wasn’t for someone documenting it, who would ever know it did?”
The film is coming to a website near you very soon…
