London-based filmmakers Grain Media have just released their documentary, Skateistan: To Live and Skate in Kabul, about the Skateistan project in Afghanistan.

This beautifully-shot film documents the school in Kabul that teaches both girls and boys between the ages of five and 17 how to skate, as well as offering them wider education and guidance.

  • This is a truly amazing film. That people should choose to do this for the youngsters in Afghanistan demands my respect and provides inspiration to any teacher-minded individual that small things DO matter to people. Utterly humbling.
