’180° South’ trailer
New environmentally-conscious surf adventure film.
Chris Malloy has directed a new film 180° South that's set for release on June 8.
This travel documentary follows photographer Jeff Johnson as he sets sail on a yacht bound for Chile to meet up with pro surfer Keith Malloy and climber Timmy O'Neill.
His goal is to emulate an epic trip taken by Yvon Chouinard and Doug Tompkins in 1968 and end up climbing Cerro Corcovado in Patagonia.
Along the way, he meets up with various environmental activists whose livelihoods are being by development and environmental degradation.
180° South is premièring at the Amstel Surffilm Festibal in San Sebastian, Basque Country on June 4.
