DO Adventure kicks off
First there were lectures, now there’s adventure!
After the success of the DO Lectures last September organic clothing company howies® have teamed up with TYF Adventure of St. Davids in Wales to create the DO Adventure, a six-month programme aimed at giving people the skills they need to be the change they want to see in the world.
The DO Adventure – which kicks off on April 13, 2009 – aims to give new and trainee instructors and adventure guides the skills, experience and knowledge to educate businesses, schools, communities and individuals about sustainability, climate change, social justice and the importance of protecting the environments we play in.
Do Adventure brings together the insights that TYF have gained from twenty-three years of innovation and leadership in adventure with the passion for change and action that underpins the Do Lectures.
“At TYF we thrive on innovation and creativity, there isn’t another adventure company in the world who are offering such a course and that excites us tremendously,” says Ross from TYF adventure.
Surfers Against Sewage and Patagonia plus a bunch of other like minded businesses, will be adding to the educational mix.
The first DO Lecture starts on the April 13 and runs through till mid-October this year.
