The Arteries release ‘Dead Sea’
UK punk scene is far from stagnant thanks to five dudes from Wales.
Swansea-based punk rock acolytes, The Arteries, are releasing a new album called Dead Sea this October on their own collective DIY record label, SWFU, with a little help from Specialist Subject Records.
Picking up where their last full-length Blood, Sweat & Beers left off, the new release displays a myriad of rock influences, from Hot Snakes to Lagwagon by the way of AC/DC. And no matter where they play – gardens, skate jams, garages, high-rise flats or hotel rooms – they rock out, supporting the likes of The Bronx, Propaghandi and Fucked Up in recent years.
What’s more Paper + Plastick, the record label founded by Less Than Jake drummer Vinnie Fiorello, will be picking up Dead Sea in January and putting it out on vinyl to give the artwork, all created by bassist Jamie Morrison, the platform it deserves.
Check out their MySpace for more information, including tour dates and teaser tracks.
