Barry McGee hits the UK, hard

Us Brits have had a royally good run of talented visitors recently.

There was Shepard in November, whose “NINETEENEIGHTYFOURIA” show spilled onto the shabby streets of East ‘Landaan’, staining our landscape long after his allotted time in gallery space had passed.

Just last month, Needles + Pens brought their San Francisco flair to our dark and dreary shores.

And now the master of the Mission School Barry McGee, aka Twist, is treating us to his message-laden masterpieces with his first UK solo exhibition, ‘They Don’t Make This Anymore’.

Head over to BALTIC’s Level 2 gallery, Newcastle, before April 27 and behold the work that paved the way for street artists like Banksy to enter galleries and leave the art world begging at their feet.
