Maki ‘Behind the Scenes…’ video

Maki Longboards have recently released this video, Behind the Scenes with Maki Longboards.

It follows the company's founder Eric Maki and the shaping process that goes into these unique surf-style skateboards at his factory in El Segundo, California.

Says Maki: "I'm taking surfboard building techniques from foam and applying them to wood. That's what really makes these boards stand out. [...] I wanted a skateboard that felt and rode like a surfboard."

Alongside this innovation, Maki also strives to have the least environmental impact possible using only wood from sustainable sources and bio-resin for the finish.
