The Billabong XXL Global Big Wave Awards have received a record number of entries this year.
The volume of female entries have been so high that a special dedicated Girl's Performance section has been added to the website.
As well as featuring past champions Jamilah Star and HUCK#015 cover star Maya Gabeira, there are new entries from Layne Beachley, Savannah Shaugnessey and Mercedes Maidana.
There is also a very impressive ride at Jaws by Kauai's Bethany Hamilton, who lost an arm in a shark attack butis now taking on gigantic waves with a tow-in.
