Bobby Cook and the Sleepers wake up to smell what momma’s cookin’

It would appear that too many cooks don’t always spoil the broth. Take this bunch of fellas for example: Cook, Cook, Mills, Straton and Smith. You’ll notice there are two here, but they, along with the other kitchen hands sure manage to produce a fine broth filled with scrumptious melodies, frightfully tasty layering with a side dish of blanched complexity.

Bobby Cook and the Sleepers are a London-based quintet with some tree-topping levels of smack down. With a quick eye down their myspace page, it becomes very apparent that the world is beginning to appreciate the work of team Cook.

Anais articulates, “I can’t believe I’m listening to this still. So addictive… More please!” Candy & The Raincloud simply pronounce, “Great, great, great!” Zaflon is “hooked”, Liam tells us they did a “top job”, whilst Melissa has other things on her mind that maybe aren’t all that lyric based: “My friend Emily saw your pics online and thinks you are cute.” Not sure which one she’s referring to, could be any of those handsome brutes!

Whether or not you agree with Emily is not the issue here, what we have is a solid setup who maybe, just maybe, are destined for big things in this the year of the rat.

“Fame is a bee. It has a song, it has a sting, ah, too, it has a wing.”
