Building up Concrete and Glass festival
Not a celebration of the most overused of modern building materials but rather a brand new festival showcasing some of the finest new music and contemporary art.
We're jumping the gun slightly with this one but we're very excited. Here are the specifics known so far:
- Running over two days in October (2nd / 3rd) in venues across London's East End.
- Music event curated by Tom Baker from the always excellent Eat Own Your Ears.
- Co-hosts include John Kennedy (XFM), Time out, Steve Lamacq (6Music), The Stool Pigeon, Young Turks, Drowned in Sound and Rough Trade Records.
- Flora Fairbairn Projects will be producing the art side of the event, with work from the likes of Measure, Kinetica, Reconstruction, Artwise, Riceboy and Artprojx.
I'd like to say more information can be found on the Concrete and Glass website but well, I'd be lying. However you can sign up to a email list there, and no doubt be the first to know when more details surface.
