If surfing is your business, then the pleasure is going to be plenty good. By attracting top surf, skate, music and BMX talent to their two festivals in England and France, Rip Curl are ensuring a quality line-up whether you're there for sporting excellence or a slice of hedonism.
The Boardmasters in Newquay, Cornwall has been getting bigger every year and 2008 sees the 5 Star WQS event head a bill including the Vans Summer Sessions, Groove Armada, The Pigeon Detectives, Seasick Steve and The Zutons. Relentless's presence will also ensure that you will get to see all of it - no sleep required.
The Rip Curl Pro Surf and Music festival in Biarritz is less bling, more green with an eclectic line-up including Keziah Jones, The Rakes and an eco award from Yourope, the European Festival organisation. With the only 6 star WQS event in France attracting the best talent for ranking points as well as pretenders to their top table, and the Gromsearch European Final, the competition will be fierce.
