David Rastovich Transparent Sea voyage
Surfer and environmentalist attempts epic paddle of Australian coast to highlight plight of whales.
David Rastovich will attempt to paddle from Byron Bay to Bondi Beach this October in a sea kayak.
This epic 700km journey, dubbed Transparent Sea, was chosen to follow the annual migration of humpback whales and aims to raise awareness of these mammals along with wider environmental issues.
He will be accompanied by photographer Hilton Dawe and surf activist Chris Del Moro amongst others.
Starting on October 1, the group aims to get to Bondi by November 5, and is planning to camp on beaches along the way.
