David Shrigley paints Malmo skate bowl
Eccentric illustrator David Shrigley has lent his charming drawing skills to a bowl in Bryggeriet Skatepark in Malmo, Sweden.
This bold and slightly crazy illustration was commissioned for the Ultra Malmo Bowl competition that runs from July 25 - 26. As well as some damn fine pool skating action, the event will also feature a best trick contest on 10 set of stairs, a Women's Mini Ramp competition and the world's best fingerboard team!
So if you are in the Malmo area this weekend, check-ch-check-check it out as the Beastie Boys would say.

For those unfamiliar with his work, David Shrigley is famous for his black and white sketches that present kitchen-sink realism in a satirical and ironic way. He gives the ordinary and mundane an insightful, funny and often dark spin in illustrations that delight the eye yet wouldn't seem out of place in a Ren & Stimpy nightmare sequence.
