Dogtown and Z-Boys Deluxe Edition
It's been about eight years since Dogtown and Z-Boys hysteria scissor kicked the hell out skateboarding and the mainstream with Stacy Peralta's documentary.
And right about now, it's about that time for a bit of a resurgence. In conjunction with Sony Pictures Classics, Vans has announced the release of Dogtown and Z-Boys Deluxe Edition.
This new version will be available exclusively at Vans retail stores sometime this November. It will include a shit-ton of all-new special features including The State of Pool Skating with Tony Alva and Bucky Lasek, footage from a Tony Alva art show, an alternate ending, director commentary and bonus footage of Chris Miller, Rune Glifberg and many more.
In conjunction with this DVD, a special collection of limited-edition Dogtown-related apparel and footwear will be released including hoodies, hats and a tee featuring the infamous Dogtown cross and graffiti art from the streets of Venice Beach.
In a nod to the original Zephyr rippers, two Vans Era styles in heritage-inspired colourways from the mid 70s will also be available.
Collectors and thirsty fans, ready your PayPal accounts 'cause this shit is gonna be the real motherfuckin' deal!
