Filmmaker Michael König has just released this incredible video, Earth: Time Lapse View.
The video has been skillfully put together from time lapse sequences of photographs taken with a special low-light 4K-camera
from the International Space Station between August and October 2011.
The aurora borealis and lightning storms look particularly spectacular from orbit.
But it does makes everything seem very small and insignificant...
