Fleet Foxes – White Winter Hymnal

You couldn't really wish for a more fitting video, seeing as Fleet Foxes sound like their music was created in forests by old men with impressive amounts of facial hair.

Slightly disappointingly the band actually are all in their 20s and hail from Seattle not Middle-earth. They do however know how to write a great folk tune, soaked with a healthy amount of West-Coast sunshine.

Their album 'Fleet Foxes' comes highly recommended, although be warned, the music press have gone slightly over the top on the hyperbole. Calling the record 'a landmark in American music' already is pushing it a bit.

Director credit for this video goes to the singer's brother, Sam Pecknold. The self-titled album is out now on Sub Pop (US) and Bella Union (UK).
