‘From Shadows’ trailer
Photographer and filmmaker Mickey Smith's new collective, Astray Films, is releasing it's first film on Irish surfing, From Shadows.
According to Mickey's blog, it's "something you can throw on to psyche up for a mega winter session, or to motivate yourself to get out and get into that frozen wetty for a session on an unfriendly day."
It features surfing from the likes of Fergal Smith, Tom Lowe and Greg Long, and has got some nice POV camera work too!
Thanks to movies such as Waveriders, Ireland is fast becoming synonymous with big wave surfing and by the looks of this, it isn't going to ruin that reputation any time soon.
You can get your hands on it via Magic Seaweed from December.
