‘Gasland’ film

Dogwoof Films are set to release a new environmental documentary called Gasland.

Written and directed by Josh Fox, it follows him as he takes a road trip across the America to expose how energy companies are in a race to unlock natural gas reserves.

However, while they are trying to exploit this precious resource, environmental concerns and the health of those living on the gas fields are being brushed aside.

The project began when Fox was asked to lease his land in the Delaware Basin for natural gas exploration for $100,000.

Instead of taking up the offer, he decided to make this film to expose the corruption, toxic waste and water supply contamination that this industry is producing.

Gasland is released in the UK on January 21.
