McFetridge and bamboo make a charming couple
Taking advantage of two fine things, Geoff McFetridge and bamboo, the Salomon SickStick is an object of real beauty.
Starting with the former, their patented construction process takes advantage of the naturally outstanding properties of bamboo fibers. In each board, 400 grams of bamboo replace 300 grams of plastic, 100 grams of resin and 200 grams of fiberglass. The SickStick also comes in an organic cotton bamboo knit bag instead of a PVC sleeve and even as an alterative to coated stickers, the price label and swing tags are printed on recycled paper thus ticking every green box possible.
So then, moving on to second point, this absolutely stunning piece of visual jelly and ice cream is brought to you by Geoff McFetridge, and just as everything else that he touches, it turns to gold (that gold would obviously be mined in a eco friendly mine which serves it’s workers fair trade coffee each morning).
