Mark Gonzales ‘Instead of Eros…’ book
Snapshot photography from the legendary skate artist.
Skate icon Mark Gonzales is releasing a book of photography, Instead of Eros Avenged.
It features over 300 pages of lo-fi photographs taken by the skater-turned-artist, capturing the spontaneity of his life from his camera phone.
The name of the book is taken from Jerry Chadwick's poem of the same name:
Started to type / the first chapter / where green eyes / press into / grey eyes / like ivy on granite / and remembered / Lorca shot in Spain / Richard Heakin beaten / to death outside / a tuscon gay bar / and decided / NO / there have been / enough deaths / already.
It's got coffee table written all over it.
