Goofy vs. Regular contest comes to Europe
The Etnies team-oriented skate contest is coming to the Area 51 Skatepark in The Netherlands.
If you had to put your best foot forward, which would it be – left or right? Well, we’ll soon find out, because on Saturday, 21 March 2009, Etnies are holding the first ever European Goofy vs. Regular skateboarding contest, in Eindhoven, The Netherlands, at Area 51 Skatepark.

Orginally started in the States with the likes of Andrew Reynolds, Nyjah Huston and Rick McCrank competing, the team-oriented contest pitches right-footed skaters against their left-footed counterparts. This year will feature skaters like Phil Zwijssen (winner of the European Skateboarding Championships), Axel Cruysberghs (winner of the Simpel Session), Rob Maatman (winner of the AmsterDamn Am 2008) and Nelson Mosikili (Dutch Champion 2008).
GvR will consist of qualifying rounds from skaters from each team and one big final in which 20 of the best European skaters go head-to-head (or is that foot-to-foot?). Sounds a little goofy, right?
