‘Grandmaster of 108′ film
Short documentary exploring the life of NYC skater Andy Kessler.
Filmmaker Dorottya Mathe has made this short documentary about the late New York skate icon Andy Kessler called Grandmaster of 108.
The film tells the story of the die hard skate pioneer who fought hard to have the very first skatepark built in NYC and continued to successfully get other parks designed, funded and built around the city
Through interviews with Kessler himself, he speaks frankly about his youth, drug use and trouble with the law, as well as skateboarding.
Kessler passed away in August 2009 after an allergic reaction to a wasp sting.
