Be green and pee in the shower
Brazilian advert tells us how to save water and the rainforest.
A new TV advert in Brazil is encouraging people to conserve water by peeing in the shower. The ad by Brazilian environmental group SOS Mata Atlantica has everyone from Gandhi to King Kong urinating in the shower, in a bid to help conserve 12 litres of drinkable water a day (4380 litres a year) by refraining from toilet use, which in turn will supposedly help save the Atlantic Rainforest.
The advert may be in Portuguese, but the message is universally applicable – we all need to save more water! So while some might think it’s disgusting or kind of pointless, other people, like me, will think this advert is a stroke of genius!
