Greenpeace action on G8 summit
Greenpeace push their campaign to new heights atop Italy's coal-fired power stations for the G8 Summit in L'Aquila.
After Climate Camp and London's other G8 demonstrations grabbed headlines worldwide, over 100 Greenpeace activists are currently occupying four fossil-fuel guzzling power stations in Italy.
With the summit aiming to resolve global financial and environmental issues, Greenpeace's demands are simple: they want the "G8 Heads of State to take leadership on climate change".
Web-savvy as ever, the protestors are currently micro-blogging live via Twitter.com/greenpeace and Scribble. You can also keep up with the full live feed on their website, or show your support by tagging your tweets #G8 #climateaction with the short URL http://bit.ly/zjJqL.
