Save Harrow Skate Park
Built in 1976, Harrow Skate Park (aka Solid Surf) is now one of the few remaining concrete parks in the UK that hasn’t been run to the ground. Its contents include a half pipe, snake run, 4 moguls, blocks, the bollocks, peanut and pool. There once stood a mini ramp but some kids with not much else to do torched it and it now seems that the rest of the ingredients may soon follow suit.
The local council plans to roll in the bulldozers and create a leisure centre. Meaning they’ll be filling in the pool to then excavate another one, topping that up with water so that throngs of 30 something’s will be able too flock there to perform water aerobics because their weight watchers guru told them to. If you want to let Gordon ‘Golden’ Brown now your thoughts, then sign this petition.
