Photographer Jonathan Cherry has just released some photos taken on a recent trip to Sarajevo, Bosnia.
The photos were taken while on assignment for creative collective Boat Studio, who paid a visit to the city to work with local artists and writers on a bespoke magazine.
Says Cherry "Once in Sarajevo, I spent four days photographing, meeting people and listening to their stories. It is worth mentioning that over the last five years I have spent every summer in Slavonski Brod, Croatia working with young people and students. So I do have a knowledge and understanding of the cultural differences and history. Before leaving my only intention was to photograph in black & white because up until that point I had never shot an entire project in that way."
The full selection of photos will appear in the next issue of Boat Magazine, out in Spring 2011.
