Photographer Yann Gross is currently looking to raise money for his Kitintale Uganda skate project via crowdfunding website Emphas.is.
The aim of the project is to rebuild the local skate park in Kitintale, a poor suburb of the Ugandan capital of Kampala.
Gross is looking to raise ¢12,300 USD for this with half of the budget will go towards rebuilding the halfpipe and half covering travel and photography costs for this trip.
Says Gross: "I have spent two months of each year [in Uganda] since 2008 documenting the evolution of this subculture. Unfortunately, as the interest for skateboarding grows since the park gets shabby and needs to be repaired."
