We delve into the HUCK archives to revisit our feature on Hawaiian style kid Koa Smith.
Says Smith: "Each year at the end of the surf season there is an awards banquet. No one ever dressed up for it, but I wanted to. So when I was seven, I picked out fabric and my mom made a suit. The first one was a kind of cow, Dalmatian print. I just designed one for every function after that."
