Legends to gather in Rio

Whilst Huck’s gaze is focused like the all-seeing eye of Mordor on Tom Curren’s remarkable career, he’s gearing up for a gathering of the Ents over in Brazil at the end of June. There is no ring of power at stake but bragging rights and ASP honours are up for grabs over fellow masters of the surf scene.
The waiting period for the 2008 World Masters Championship begins on June 30th and those waiting reads like a list of Who’s Who in surfing: Tom Curren, Mark Occhilupo, Shaun Tomson, Wayne ‘Rabbit’ Bartholomew, Peter Townend, Derek Ho to name a few.
If you happen to be in Rio, get down to Barra de Tijuca, and no prizes for guessing who our money’s on.
