LSFF ‘The Shorties’ contest
Make a mini surf movie for the London Surf Film Festival.
London Surf Film Festival have teamed up with conservation charity The National Trust for a short film contest, The Shorties.
The competition is open exclusively to filmmakers in the UK and Ireland in the hope that it will give 'home-grown talent a platform to bring their visions to the surf world'.
You can enter via the LSFF website – all films must be no more than five minutes long and the closing date is August 26.
Says London Surf Film Festival founding member, Demi Taylor."Short films are a central pillar of modern surf culture; a creative outlet for sharing stories and inspiring stoke. As surfers, the environment and coastline are integral to our story. The National Trust works hard on our behalf to conserve and protect nearly 10 per cent of our coastline across England, Wales and Northern Ireland."
The winners will be exhibited as part of the LSFF which takes places at the Riverside Studios, London W6 from October 13-15.
Alongside screenings of feature films, documentaries, and cult classics, there will be Q&A sessions with leading filmmakers and surfing legends that give the audience a close up on all the action.
