Makboard recyclable snowboards

Makboard is a new California-based company that has developed the world's only clear, recyclable snowboard.

It is the brainchild of Bob Chandler, who worked with his cousin Bob Ryan to make a board that felt more like 'surfing the snow.'

The end result is an extremely flexibile, completely transparent board that is more 'eco-friendly' than anything else on the market.

The boards are made from Bayer Makrolon, the same material that is used to make bulletproof windows.

How cool is that?

  • Yeah. Watch the snow as it passes underneath your feet... completely unaware of the ever impending doom that is the tree directly ahead of you. Oh oh!
