Ari Marcopoulos ‘It Might Seem Familiar’

The Foam Fotografie Museum is showing an exhibition of Ari Marcopoulos' photography entitled It Might Seem Familiar, February 27 - June 16.

The Amsterdam-born photographer, who lived in New York for many years before relocating to California, is going back to his roots for this exhibition which will feature work from his entire oeuvre including photos of the '80s hip-hop and downtown art scene in New York, the '90s snowboard and skateboard scene and more recently his own family in Northern California.

There is an exclusive interview with Ari in the next issue of our magazine, HUCK#019, available next week, in which the 52-year-old reveals his past ideas, future plans and current imaginings, alongside a folio of some of his most powerful portraits.
