Stop the War Tate Modern protest
Anti-war group calls for 'no war criminals' at national art gallery.
Stop the War Coalition are organising a demonstration against Tony Blair's book launch party at the Tate Modern, London SE1 on September 8.
The protest is being supported by such artists as Tracey Emin, Vivienne Westwood and Katharine Hamnett who are objecting to the gallery hosting this party to celebrate the launch of the former British Prime Minister's memoir, A Journey.
Stop the War will be protesting outside the gallery from 5.30pm and calling for 'no war criminals at the Tate Modern'. There will also be some 'art happenings' in addition to the protests.
This will be the first public event Blair will attend after cancelling book signings to avoid the "inevitable hassle" that protests would cause.
Obviously, he didn't like the shoes and eggs thrown at him in Dublin last week.
