Nvohk brings branding to the people

In a world dominated by booming brands and dictatorial design, a socialist fashion era is about to dawn.

Nvohk is a new surf-inspired clothing line rooted in a set of ideals that are more Che Guevara than laissez-faire.

Based on the utopian ideal of community, Nvohk gives us ordinary folk the chance to be CEO of our very own clothing brand. The concept is simple: you sign up for free and when membership hits 20,000 everyone contributes $50 a year to have their say in the development and management of an eco-friendly clothing company. Even the logo is up for debate.

Sounds ideal. But that’s probably what the Chinese thought in 1949.

Political cynicism aside, Nvohk is a refreshing concept and a welcome break from the usual deluge of tired surf branding. And with 10% of profits going straight to eco-charities, it’s gotta be the way forward.

Hell, who knows? Maybe these guys really are the children of the revolution. So why not make like an Athenian and get involved.
