Radiohead - House of Cards

Never ones to shy away from new technology, Radiohead have just released a video made with lasers!

The video was created by James Frost using some rather fancy visualisation techniques, rendering Thom Yorke’s mug in realtime. The landscapes scenes were done using 64 lasers, rotating 360 degrees at 900 times a minute.

The result is a stunningly beautiful video, not really done justice by the low-res YouTube copy below (feel free to post links to any high quality versions you’ve come across).

The band have also made the raw data to make their own interpretation of the video.

Mess about with it, then upload your masterpiece to the YouTube group.

House of Cards is taken from Radiohead’s new album ‘In Rainbows‘, out now.
