Help raise money for the paralysed Dogtown rider at benefit show in Venice Beach.

A benefit auction is being held for Jim Muir in Venice Beach on August 20. The former Zephyr team skater and owner of Dogtown Skates, was paralysed after breaking his neck in a surfing accident last March and needs money to cover medical expenses.

You can donate money on the Jim Muir Benefit website where you can also bid for a selection of classically designed boards by artists and skaters like The Gonz, Andy Jenkins, Chris Pastras, Ian Johnson, Jeremy Fish and Andy Howell.

Also keep your eyes peeled for a screenprint collaboration from OBEY street artist Shepard Fairey and photographer Glen E. Fieldman.

Help ol' Red Dog get back his bite!

  • It's disgusting that when someone is badly injured or in poor health, they have to try and raise money to pay for it. What about all the millions of people who need medical attention and aren't a celebrate former athlete?

America needs Obama's healthcare plan really badly.
