‘Scratching the Surface’ UK premiere
First UK showing of new ambitious surf film.
Quiksilver are hosting a premiere of Julian Wilson's new surf film Scratching the Surface at the Vue Cinema in Cardiff, Wales on October 7.
Tickets are only £3 and are available from the Quiksilver and City Surf shops in Cardiffas well as the Welsh Surfing Federation, who will be receiving all profits from the ticket sales.
Scratching the Surface follows the adventures of Julian and fellow pros including Dane Reynolds, Taj Burrow and Dusty Payne as they hit some beautiful surf spots across the world.
This included such destinations as South Africa, Australia and Central America with a large part of the film shot on a boat trip around the Mentawai Islands in Indonesia.
Says Julian: "I'm really proud of this film and grateful I had the opportunity to create something unique [...] I wanted to make a film before I got sucked into full-time competition and the demanding schedule that goes along with it. So instead of competing last year, I put my heart and soul into this project because I didn't know when I'd ever get the chance again."
