Bright Winter Bowl Bash ist dope!
Last weekend saw the Bright Skate Tradeshow in Frankfurt play host to some of Europe’s gnarliest transition junkies at the Winter Bowl Bash. The indoor bowl, with its massive cradle, vertical wall ride, vert extensions and tight transition, set the scene for a mouth-watering jam session.
After a ferocious round of qualifying and hard fought semi final, the crowds scrambled for any possible vantage point for the finale. Having secured a seat close enough to the action I could smell the bearing lube, I settled in to witness some of the highest intensity riding the Bright bowl has ever seen.
France’s Guillaume Mocquin threw down the kind of balls out run that typifies his trademark fearless style (and had the majority of the crowd wincing in empathy) to secure fourth spot. Last years winner, Anders Tellen consistently hucked out trick after trick to claim third place and young ripper Kevin Wenzke was simply a joy to watch… lines a plenty, no tranny was left unstomped in a run that would easily have taken gold any other year.
Top spot on the podium was eventually taken by Sebastien Daurel; his tight, creative lines were unlike any other performed on the day and he rightfully deserved the plaudits. Check out his winning run, courtesy of the guys at Tackyworld.com…
Final results table:
