Sergej Vutuc ‘Something in Between’ book
Skateboarding and the use of public space captured in black and white.
Serbian photographer Sergej Vutuc is releasing a new book called Something in Between.
The series of lo-fi photos explore the use of public space in skateboarding and related subcultures.
It also features an essay on urban decay by New York-based artist and author Jocko Weyland called 'Make Dead City More Nice'.
Says Vutuc: “I don’t give any description to my images. I leave them to speak for themselves. It’s not about the place where I shoot them or the person, it’s more like a collection of fragments – moments and building stories. Mouth can never say what eyes can see…”
The book is being published by Snoeck and Carhartt, and is available from Carhartt stores across Europe.
