Surf legend Shaun Tomson has launched a new surfing-based app for the iPhone and iPod Touch.
The Surfboards app is designed to help you choose the right surfboard for you by explaining all the intricate designs and shapes from rocker to roll and fins to foils.
This is done through hand drawn illustrations, a 5000 word glossary and even the contact details of some master shapers.
It also features Shaun's famous Surfers Code so newbies don't make any faux pas'.
Says Shaun: "When I am out in the line up I often see people struggling on unsuitable equipment, boards that might be great for an expert surfer but are woefully inadequate for a beginning or intermediate surfer [...] When a person starts out on the surfing journey, the trip can be made infinitely easier if one starts out with the right equipment. This little application is designed to do just that [...] and make learning and improving as painless as possible."
