DC Skate and Create comp video
Mike Blabac art directs the DC team's entry
If you haven't seen it already, Transworld are currently running their second annual Skate and Create competition which sees rival teams cram into a warehouse with one set of obstacles to shoot a short yet inventive skate video.
There's already been some great entries from DVS and C1RCA but DC Shoes have just put together this little gem under the direction of staff photographer Mike Blabac and featuring the likes of Danny Way, Josh Kalis and Nick Dompierre.
Says Blabac: "Our idea was to re-create cities by simply printing our black-and-white backdrops, and make the supplied obstacles look like real skate spots. We kept everything really simple to the point of being ghetto at times not to overproduce it and make it as skate as possible."
The result? Some nice black-and-white, cardboard-cut-out business with some solid skate action to boot.
