‘Species of Spaces in Skateboarding’ screening

Artist Raphaƫl Zarka will be screening his film Species of Spaces in Skateboarding at the Tate Modern, London on February 28.

The film is drawn from about 40 skateboarding videos and films shot between 1964 and 2006, and outlines the relation between 'found spaces' (those appropriated by skateboarders) and spaces especially designed and built for them.

The screenings will be followed by a panel discussion about the artist’s work withĀ RaphaĆ«l ZarkaandIain Borden, Professor of Architecture and Urban Culture at UCL.
