National Geographic still got game
HUCK HQ gets excited when some top-line imagery arrives in the inbox. A potential cover money shot, or something completely fresh from an unknown, they're all another step towards providing the tightest direction possible.
TED.com is no different and the recently posted talk from the director of photography for the National Geographic, David Griffin, delivers some old classics and a touching guide through some excellent, recently-commissioned photojournalism.
He makes the point that everyone has a top drawer photo in them, and with current technology that's not hard, so it's refreshing to find they are still producing the goods on natural subjects seemingly covered endlessly by their good selves. Carry on NG.
