Stoked Mentoring Art Auction goes under the hammer
The big bro’s over at Stoked Mentoring will be auctioning off a heap of art on April 5 at the Milk Gallery, New York, to help raise funds for their charitable cause.
Stoked Mentoring is a non-profit organisation that uses action sports to foster a sense of determination in ‘at risk’ youth. Their aptly titled programs - Snow Mentor, Skate Mentor and Surf Mentor - expose teens to the buzz of sliding sideways under the guidance of a big brotherly pat on the back.
With work donated from the likes of Barry McGee, Andy Kessler and David Hockney, the event is set to teach Sotheby’s a thing or two on how a real art auction goes down.
If you happen to be in NYC, get over there and get bidding.
Just keep your mitts off the Medusa Pillowcase by Swoon. That baby’s all mine.
