Our old friends Fenchurch are getting involved at Stokefest '08 on 8th June, bringing their Hackney Globetrotter Stage to the party in cahoots with DJ Russ Jones.

Eclectic is an understatement with the line-up including samba from Rhythms of the City; Balkan and Eastern gypsy music from 40 Thieves Orchestra; ska, calypso and two-tone from The Brothers Bab; afro beats from Yaaba Funk; funky Brazilian dance from Banda Forro do Mangue and big band Latin Dub Soundsystem.

Clissold Park hosts the event from 12-7 and will see up to 20,000 people enjoy over 250 artists, 40 community organisations and 90 stalls. If you want some world music in Stoke Newington or like watching grown men dance round a maypole, I suggest you wander down there pronto.
