Sutsu bamboo skate decks

Sutsu have released their own line of skateboards that are friendlier to the environment than your average deck.

The five-ply decks are 70% bamboo, constructed using water-based glues and printed with environmentally friendly inks.

Skateboard decks are usually made from Canadian Maple that takes up to 60 years to mature. It's believed that skateboard production has replaced flooring as the number one contributor to deforestation of maple trees in North America.

As bamboo is a grass and not a tree, it can grow up to two feet a day and renews itself very quickly after harvesting, and it doesn't even need replanting.

You've just got to keep the pandas away from it though...
