Swoon x The Konbit Shelter Project print
Incredible art with a big heart.
New York-based artist Swoon has produced a limited-edition print to raise money for The Konbit Shelter Project.
The developmental project is made up of a crack team of artists, engineers, architects and builders, who pooled their unique talents to come up with a housing solution that is both resistant to natural disasters and super affordable owing to the design being 90% earth.
Swoon's intimate and beautiful portait of Walki - a young Haitian boy who spent a lot of time with the project in Bigones, Haiti - is made up of three screenprinted layers of lovingly hand crafted Indian jute paper.
If you're feeling philanthropic and fancy some killer artwork, you'd better be quick. The run of 300 prints will only be on sale until January 1 exclusively at the Upper Playground for a mere $125USD.
