We delve into the HUCK archives to revisit our feature on one-legged snowboarder, Thayne Mahler.
Says Mahler: "I got on my snowboard quickly after getting my [prosthetic] leg because I had sat around for so long. The first run on my new leg hurt a lot. I only took one run that day. The next day I took two. I worked my way up from there.”
