‘The Majestic Plastic Bag’ film
Environmental campaign movie that gives a satirical take on the life of a polythene bag.
Californian environmental campaign group Heal The Bay have recently released this mock nature documentary called The Majestic Plastic Bag.
The film is narrated by silk-voiced, board-treader Jeremy Irons and follows the lifecycle of a plastic bag from humble supermarket to its final migratory destination in the Pacific Ocean gyre.
Along the way, it encounters its deadly perils of park wardens, dogs and the concrete rivers of Los Angeles.
The film was made as part of Heal The Bay's campaign to ban the plastic bag in California.
