Thomas Peschak Great Bear Rainforest photos
Capturing the beauty of Canadian wilderness.
Enrironmental photographer Thomas Peschek has recently released some photos from a Save our Seas Foundation assignment in the Great Bear Rainforest in British Columbia, Canada.
The photos reveal the beauty of this coastal habitat that is one of the few places in the world where bears and wolves feed alongside with humpback whales, orcas and sea lions.
However, this forest as it is under threat from a 1,200km oil pipeline is to be built right across it.
The foundation is concerned that this development will result in super tankers navigating this area increasing the risk of a disastrous oil spill.
